        N.D.G "SHOE TREE" NOW CULTURAL ICON

" On the quiet corner of de Maisonneuve Blvd. and Old Orchard Ave. in N.D.G. sits an average-size tree that has a lot of sole — dozens of soles, actually. Hanging from its twiggy, wintered branches are a bouquet of shoes, each pair tied together by the laces and strewn across the limbs overhanging de Maisonneuve. To many, the shoe tree has remained a mystery. But to some, this tree is a cultural icon.
It turns out the shoes stem from the NDG (No Damn Good) Skatepark located directly across the street. The indoor park and skateboard store opened its doors in 2009 and became a local meeting spot for skateboarders in the southwest borough of Montreal.
It was also home to the Walsh Skate School. Owned by Montreal-based professional skateboarder Barry Walsh, the school operated out of No Damn Good all year round, but also held camps for kids during the summer..."

Vans presents Bones Brigade at PHI centre Montreal

On August 24th 2012, Montreal was the world's stage as Vans presented the Bones Brigade documentary at the Phi Centre. In appearance we're legendary members such as Tony Hawk, Mike Mcgill, Rodney Mullen and Tommy Guerrero who also performed live with Ray Barbee and Chuck Treece as the BLKTOP project.
